Bellhousing and coupling
Overwiev
In power pack manufacture, bellhousings are used as a connection element between electric motor and hydraulic pump. They center the shafts of motor and pump and additionally serve as coupling protection.
Couplings also known as shaft couplings are used to connect the rotating pump shaft with the drive shaft of the motor ensuring torque is transferred to the pump with minimal losses.
